This 12 Gauge shotgun shell takes a fairly conventional approach to demolishing a clay disc, no two ways about it. Its 1-1/8 ounces of #7.5 shot delivers the 394-pellet pattern which can’t help but disintegrate any clay it comes into direct contact with. The lead pellets are meticulously screened to ensure they meet an exacting diameter standard of 0.095”, which alongside the hard lead they are made from assures a tight pattern. The shell’s hinged wad and not-too-fast 1,200 fps muzzle velocity work in tandem to mitigate felt recoil. And once all these rounds’ noncorrosive primers and clean-burning powder have burned out, you’ll still have a nice pile of reloadable hulls.
Winchester’s USA VALOR line of ammunition has a philanthropic purpose as well. Part of Winchester’s proceeds go to Folds of Honor, a non-profit organization which provides scholarships to family members of troops who gave their lives or became disabled while on duty.
